Juan Gonzalez Uribe “Gzz” born on April 13, 1968 in Medellín, Colombia. In 2001 he traveled to Barcelona, Spain where he decided to settle with the intention of developing their artistic activity. His work set in urban settings and characters, shows his sensitivity to issues such as social EXCLUSION racism.
He assumed the artistic practice from the daily life of the human being, his tasks, his figure, and the way they interact in context. In his work he explore the absurdity of the usual to try to reveal the feeling of loneliness reflected in the introspection of the characters who scream with the irreverence of their attitudes.
From an early age he was interested in drawing. In 2001 he traveled to Spain to live in Barcelona, where he studied painting, engraving and jewelry. In Barcelona he received institutional support from the Consulate of Colombia, thus beginning his artistic projection with the exhibition of his works in different places. In the same year, he participated in the Salón Marginal de Artistas, organized by Semana magazine.
